A Botanic Garden Barbados Cotton Flower or Gossypium Barbadense three inch high spice jar with a wooden lid. This motif is one of the six original oatmeal bowl flowers and is the original motif design. The jar has a green number 4 near the flower which indicates the piece was made in the late 1970's when Portmeirion used a numbering system on BG motifs. The Cotton Flower was later used on bread and butter plates and retired in 1988.

The canister is in very nice condition with just one or two short, hard to see, and very clean crazing but little other signs of use! Even the bottom is quite clean and has excellent varnish on the lid. Please be sure to click below and see the full description and more photos...
