BOTANIC GARDEN 15-1/2 BY 11-1/2 INCH PLACEMAT - DOG ROSE

Pink Rose With Large Bumble Bee - Very Nice!

  |

I am happy to present a very nice retired Botanic Garden larger size 15.5 by 11.5 inch placemat
featuring the Dog Rose or Rosa Canina motif. These tablemats were made years
ago with a melamine surface on a wood-like
base with a cork backing. It is in very nice condition overall, but does
have a few minor signs of wear so please be sure to see the full description below.

Please Note: When I took pictures it was hard to get the lighting even. Any
areas that look darker than others are only from uneven lighting. In
person, the background color is very consistent overall.

The Dog Rose motif, famous for its huge bee, was an
original 1972 flower on salad plates and still remains in production today.
It is based on an image found in a 1835 botany book with illustrations by
William Clarke,Moral of Flowers, and written by Mrs. Hey.

| Size |
Just a tiny bit under 15-1/2" by 11-1/2" and about 1/4" thick
 |
| Front / Back |
The flat matte finish surface is in very nice condition overall. Running along the upper
right edge there is about a 1" wide by 1/8" strip where the paper is thin and the brown base material can be seen.

The cork back also is in super condition with no
missing pieces, rips, tears, or gouges.

| Face / Background |
A slightly off white color which is consistent overall. I have
several that are the same color so were likely made in this color.
	 |
| Stains |
		There is a
round faint stain in the upper right near the laurel border. It is quite faint and not very noticeable.
 |
| Use Marks |
There are little or no other signs of use on this Dog Rose tablemat!

There are no markings or stickers on the back and there may never have been
any ID marks or stickers on this item.
