| Size |
Cup - 3-3/4" high and 4-7/8" wide at the widest (without handle)
Saucer - 8" across
Capacity - 20 oz liquid
|
| Transfer |
There is one transfer on the front of the cup. It is a consistent color
with no flaws except a white paint skip near the J at the top. It can be seen in the photos abpve.
|
| Ground |
Very white
|
| Glaze |
Overall clean crazing is present, common on older pieces of Portmeirion.
|
| Chips/Cracks |
Toward the back of the cup there are two tight hairline cracks. The lines
are clean and I only noticed them in a bright light. The cup
still 'rings' in that area, but the lines are definitely hairlines around 2" long.
|
| Stains |
None, except for a very little bit of shelf wear on the unglazed bottom foot
|
| Use Marks |
It is very clean on both the inside and outside with no scratches

A very interesting and unusual piece of vintage Portmeirion!
