BOTANIC GARDEN WALL CLOCK - DOG ROSE - WORKS GREAT!
Mint Condition - Unusual Rectangle Shape - Made With Two 6 Inch Wall Tiles
|
I am happy to offer a retired rectangular Portmeirion Botanic Garden wall clock. It features a Dog Rose or Rosa Canina on the bottom and clock works on the top. It was made from two Botanic Garden 6 inch square wall tiles and is surrounded in a blonde wood frame.
With hour and minute hands, it has been tested and keeps great time. It takes one 'AA' battery,
not supplied. In perfect working condition with no flaws or signs of use.

The Dog Rose motif, famous for its huge bee, was an
original 1972 flower on salad plates and still remains in production today.
It is based on an image found in a 1835 botany book with illustrations by
William Clarke,Moral of Flowers, and written by Mrs. Hey.

There is no logo or sticker present to state country of origin. The tiles are almost certainly made by HR Johnson tile in Austrailia where the vast majority of tiles sold by Portmeirion were made.
