BOTANIC GARDEN IVY LEAVED CYCLAMEN BREAD AND BUTTER PLATE
Newer Crest ID In Shiny Minty Condition!
|
I am pleased to offer an excellent Botanic Garden Ivy Leaved Cyclamen or Cyclamen Repandum Bread and
Butter plate. The Cyclamen is still produced today and this is a few years
old with a Crest ID mark. Made in two versions, this is the newer version with nine flower heads.
This plate is in great condition with no crazing, shiny glaze, and bright crispy
motif! There are no signs of any use or wear.
The Ivy Leaved Cyclamen flower was an original oatmeal bowl motif, introduced in 1972,
moved to a B & B plate in 1985, and still remains in production today. There
are two different insect and flower versions. The oldest has four flower
heads and the newer has nine heads. It was based on an image in an 1840
book,La Flore des Dames by A. Jacquemart.
