PORTMEIRION RARE BIRDS OF BRITAIN CERAMIC LIDDED CANISTER
Rare BOB Jar With Redstart And Hard To Find Willow Warbler!

I am pleased to offer an excellent 4 inch wide Portmeirion Birds Of Britain canister with a ceramic lid. The lid carries the Redstart and the base shows the Willow Warbler. The Willow Warbler was discontinued early and hard to find.

This piece is in excellent condition with shiny glaze, NO CRAZING or wear, and a tight fitting lid!

The Birds Of Britain pattern illustrations were taken from the 'Natural History Of British Birds' by Edward Donovan which was printed in 1794.

Size About 4" across the top and 3-1/2" high including the lid
Transfer The Willow Warbler is repeated three times. All are nice and bright with no flaws.
Ground Very white
Glaze The glaze is very nice and shiny with no crazing or other glaze flaw seen
Chips/Cracks None
Stains None, even the bottom unglazed foot is very clean
Use Marks None
Other Comments The sealing gasket still holds a tight seal.

A rare and not often seen Birds of Britain ceramic lidded canister with a more rare Willow Warbler!
