POMONA 'THE AMICUA MELON' 13 INCH LOW BOWL
Very Rare And Made For Only A Short Time - Very Nice!
|
I am pleased to offer a rare and large 13 inch Pomona Amicua Melon low bowl. It was retired
many years ago, made only for a short time in the early 1990's, and is now very difficult to find.
It is in excellent shiny condition with just a few minor signs of use.
Please be sure to look below and see a full description and lots of photos.
The Amicua Melon was made for a very short period of time in the early
1990's. Very hard to find, it is found mostly on large serving pieces like
this bowl, lasagna dishes, and large oval platters.

Another version of this bowl does not have a Pomona Ivy border. The bowl in
this listing does have a Pomona Ivy border.

Size |
13" across and 3" high
|
Transfer |
Bright and colorful.
There is a pin head sized very small transfer cut in one of the green melons. It is hard to see unless looking closely.
|
Ground |
Very white
|
Glaze |
No crazing and nice shiny glaze overall. There are some shallow
scratches that are not deep and do not cut into the transfer. Please look under 'Use Marks' section below.
|
Chips/Cracks |
None
|
Stains |
None, except for some common shelf wear on the unglazed bottom where it sits on a surface. It does not show up well in the photo below as it is quite pale.
|
Use Marks |
There are some minor narrow, short and shallow stacking scratches, probably from
another item on top, on the inside bottom. They do not cut through any part
of the transfer and I could only see them when holding the bowl sideways in a bright light.
