I am happy to offer a hard to find Pomona Princess Of Orange Pear 8 inch high canister. The Princess Of Orange Pear was a recent introduction to the range, around 2000, and retired shortly thereafter.

The rare canister is in excellent shiny condition with a lid that has very very nice varnish and a tight fitting seal. It is in great shape with shiny glaze, excellent transfer, and no crazing.


This fruit motif was only on the market for a short time. I believe the wooden lidded canisters also have been discontinued.

Size	About 8" high without the lid, 8-1/2" with the lid, and about 5" across the top
Transfer	Perfect with no flaws and has great color

Glaze	No crazing, no flaws, and very shiny glaze overall

Stains	None anywhere, except for the slightest shelf wear on the unglazed bottom foot ring where it sits on a surface. Please see the photo below.

Other Comments	The lid is a wooden lid with rounded sides. The wood and varnish condition is excellent with no dry or cracked varnish spots as is so common on older Portmeirion wooden lids. The rubber gasket holds a tight seal. An excellent retired Pomona canister that is hard to find in such nice condition!

The ID mark is a modern Portmeirion logo Pomona backstamp.
