BIRDS OF BRITAIN 'GOLDFINCH' PIN DISH
Attractive Little Bird In Natural Surroundings!
|
I am happy to present a very nice Portmeirion Birds Of Britain pin dish
featuring a Goldfinch bird.
It is in excellent condition with no use or wear marks but does have one very small (about 1/8") and very clean line of crazing.
The Birds Of Britain pattern
illustrations were taken from the 'Natural History Of British Birds' by
Edward Donovan which was printed in 1794.
During the late 1970's and early 1980's, Portmeirion used a numbering
system for various motifs. This bird has a number '1' on the right side of the dish.
---> ID Mark <---
It is fully marked with the blue-gray Donovan 1796 ID mark.
