BIRDS OF BRITAIN 'BLUE TITMOUSE' PIN DISH
Great Condition - With Green Number!
|
I am happy to present a very nice Portmeirion Birds Of Britain pin dish
featuring a Blue Tit bird.
It is in very nice shiny condition with only no signs of use or wear. From age, there is some hard to see very fine and very clean crazing present mostly on the dish wall. Please be sure to look below for a full description.
(Please excuse any white areas on the left side of the photo that are only glare from photo lighting.
The color in that area is a consistent white overall.)
The Birds Of Britain pattern
illustrations were taken from the 'Natural History Of British Birds' by
Edward Donovan which was printed in 1794.
During the late 1970's and early 1980's, Portmeirion used a numbering
system for various motifs. This bird has a number '2' on the right side of the dish.
