BOTANIC GARDEN RHODODENDRON 6 INCH BREAD PLATE
Unique Small Size - Recently Produced!
|
I am pleased to offer a 'Made In Britain' new and unique one of a kind Botanic Garden Rhododendron or
Rhododendron Lepidotum 6 inch wide small plate. I have rarely seen this small sized plate
(smaller than a standard 7.25 inch wide bread and butter plate). I think this shape is called a Bread plate.
There are no signs of use or wear but does have a transfer flaw in the laurel at about 4 o'clock. Please look below to see more photos and a full description.
The Rhododendron flower was an original 1973 coffee cup motif and later
included on a bread and butter plates in 1988. It remains in a current motif and is in
production today. It was based on an image in an 1840 book,Moral of
Flowers by Mrs. Hey, illustrated by William Clarke, 1835 by A. Jacquemart.
