BOTANIC GARDEN VARIATIONS OATMEAL BOWL - SNOWDROP and CROCUS
New Bowl With Retired Bread And Butter Plate Motif - Mint!
|
I am pleased to offer a new Botanic Garden Oatmeal Bowl featuring the Crocus and Snowdrop
or Crocus and Galanthus motif. The Variations pattern,
created to compliment Botanic Garden, was retired several years ago.
The bowl is in new and mint condition and, judging by the ID mark, was around 10 years ago.
Please note that
this bowl shape, especially the rim, is different than regular Botanic Garden oatmeal bowls but are the same size and
should still stack well together. Please look below to see the photo from the side.
(NOTE: The photo above was taken at a weird angle and looks uneven. In person, the transfers are perfectly centered and evenly applied.)
The Crocus and Snowdrop
was a bread and butter plate motif, introduced in 1980 and
retired in 2000. There are two color versions of this motif where the
biggest difference is in the pink butterfly wing. The lower wing is grey in
the 'Dark' version and white in the 'Light Version' Also, the darker has
more pronounced and deeper accents at the edges of the flowers and leaves.
It was inspired by image in a 1830 botany book,Romance
of Flowers. by Louisa Twomley. This bowl carries the 'light' version of the motif.
