I am pleased to offer a very rare Portmeirion Pomona 'Raisin de Carmes' 15 inch oval platter. This fruit was only made in small quantities for use on large serving pieces. It was retired many years ago and is rarely seen today.

This wonderful platter is in excellent condition with no crazing and only has a few very minor hard to see signs of use. The transfer is bright with excellent color and has no glaze crazing. The clean bottom is unglazed with concentric circles for use in the oven. Please be sure to look below and see the full description.


The Raisin de Carmes grape was made for a short time in small quantities on large serving pieces like this platter, bread crocks, and also on tea towels. The transfers on this platter are especially large.

Size	Approximately 14-3/4" by 11" across top, 13" by 9" across the bottom
Transfer	Great bright unfaded colors. Almost flawless except for two VERY tiny pinhead sized transfer cuts in one grape.
Ground	Very white
Glaze	No crazing and nice shiny glaze overall. The bottom has concentric circles and is unglazed for use in the oven.
Chips/Cracks	None
Stains	None, even the bottom is very clean
Use Marks	None except for a two or three hard to see very shallow, short, and narrow scratches likely from another item stacked on top. One of the marks is deep enough to cause the little transfer cuts mentioned above.
Other Comments	The rarest of the rare Pomona piece to add to your table or collection!

The ID mark is an round green 'Goddess' Pomona stamp.
