BOTANIC GARDEN 10 INCH PEDESTAL DISH - AFRICAN DAISY
'Special Decoration' One Of A Kind Piece - Excellent Condition!
|
I am pleased to offer a unique one of a kind Botanic Garden 10 inch pedestal dish in the retired African Daisy or
Arctotis Grandiflora motif. This arrangement was not made for the general Botanic Garden catalog of the
day and produced exclusively for sale in Portmeirion's factory store. There were very few made. Like all
special decoration pieces, there is a mustard colored oval 2nds ID mark inside the pedestal base.
I do not see any condition issues, flaws, or any sign of use. Please be sure to
look below to see more photos and full description.
The pedestal dish shape also has been retired for many years, making this a
very desirable Botanic Garden piece.
Please note the yellow butterfly in the center. It is not seen on any other African Daisy piece.

The African Daisy was an original dinner plate motif produced from 1972
until retired in 1990. It was inspired by image in a 1824 book,The
Universal Herbal by Thomas Green.

A ring of Botanic Laurel surrounds the base.
