BOTANIC GARDEN ORIGINAL OATMEAL BOWL - CANTERBURY BELLS or REDSTAR
Original Oatmeal Motif Flower Retired Years Ago - Nice Shiny Condition With Clean Crazing
|
I am pleased to offer a Botanic Garden original Oatmeal Bowl featuring the
Canterbury Bells or Red Star motif. The Canterbury Bells is one of the original
six oatmeal flowers, retired in 1978, and also one of the four that did not have an assigned name.
The bowl is very shiny with a perfect transfer and shows few, if any,
no signs of use. As common on Botanic Garden pieces made in the 1970's, this bowl has very clean and hard
to see crazing. Please be sure to look below to see a full deescription.
The Canterbury Bells flower was one of the four original oatmeal motifs,
introduced in 1972 and retired early in 1978, that did not have a Latin name
printed next to the common name. The other three unnamed oatmeal motifs were
retired in the same year. The design was inspired by an image in the 1840
botany book La Flore des Dames by A. Jacquemart.

Nice shiny glaze everywhere. There are several patches of VERY CLEAN and hard to see
