PORTMEIRION BOTANIC GARDEN FORGET-ME-NOT DINNER BELL
Made To Celebrate the 75th Anniversary Of Woman's Weekly Magazine - Mint!
|
I am happy to present a retired and unusual Botanic Garden dinner bell with gold stripe
accents on the top of the bell base and handle. It was manufactured in
1986 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Woman's Weekly magazine.
This bell features the Forget-Me-Not or Myosotis Palustris flower. An attractive
shiny blue butterfly and a green lady bug are the featured insects! It is in mint condition!

The Forget-Me-Not flower is an
original 1972 coffee cup motif and remains in production today. It was
based on an illustration by William Clarke in Mrs. Hey's botany

The gold trim is perfect with no rubs or missing gold. The

A nice rare Botanic Garden special edition dinner bell!

There are two ID marks. One is the normal Botanic Garden Crest ID and the
other is a special ID for the Woman's Day bells.

---> Close Up <---
The Crest ID, especially, is a little
distorted looking because of the angle used to take the photo. In the upper
right of the photo below, it looks like there is some shelf wear which is only
a glitch of the camera. In person, there is no shelf wear and the bottom is very clean.

and the Botanic Garden crest ID. Please click to button to the right to learn
