BOTANIC GARDEN 25th ANNIVERSARY CANAPE SET - BOXED - NEW!
Daisy 8 Inch Plate and Rhododendron Canape Spreader - Excellent Unusual Gift!
|
I am happy to present a mint Botanic Garden canape serving set featuring a Daisy plate and Rhododendron ceramic and stainless steel
spreader knife. The set was created to celebrate
the 25th Anniversary of Botanic Garden in 1997.
It is in new condition with the UPC code still attached to the bottom of the plate and comes in its
original dark green Portmeirion presentation box. Please see the photos and description below.
(In person, the canape knife blade is shiny stainless steel)
The photos show the spreader much larger than it is. For perspective, the Daisy plate is 8" wide from handle to handle. And, the canape spreader is 6.75" long.

The Daisy was an original 1972 flower on bread and butter plates and still
remains in production today. It is based on an image found in the 1835 botany
book with illustrations by William Clarke,Moral of Flowers, and
written by Mrs. Hey.
The Rhododendron flower was an original 1973 coffee cup motif and later
included on a bread and butter plates in 1988. It remains in a current motif and is in
production today. It was based on an image in an 1840 book,Moral of
Flowers by Mrs. Hey, illustrated by William Clarke, 1835 by A. Jacquemart.

The ID mark on the back of the plate is special for the 25th anniversary and
plate itself. The dark green box also has a silver colored 25th Anniversary insignia.
The spreader has a Portmeirion Logo ID used from about 1999 untli the mid 2000's and
