GRAY'S POTTERY TINY PIN DISH - DUTCH MAN
Nice Hand Painted Gray's Collectible Dish With Copper Lustre Border!

I am pleased to offer a very small vintage AE Gray's Pottery 3 inch wide pin dish featuring a man who looks to me like he is a Dutch outfit. It is probably hand painted and has a copper lustre border. Please see the photos below...

Portmeirion Grays Tiny Pin Dish

Gray's Pottery was established in 1912 at Stoke-On-Trent, moved to Handley, and moved back to Stoke and existed from 1934 until 1961 when it was bought by Portmeirion Potteries. Well known for their hand painted items, marked with a sailing ship backstamp, did not manufacture the basic pottery themselves. Blanks were purchased elsewhere and hand painted by Gray's decorators. Lustre wares were a specialty and often seen painted with silver resist, copper, and other lustre finishes.

Other Comments An nice Gray's Pottery small dish!

It is fully marked on the bottom with a black Clipper Ship, made in Stoke On Trent, ID Mark. I have several of these small pin dishes and the two photos below are very similar to the dish in this listing, however, may be slightly different. There is no green pattern number painted on as it is on some of the little plates I have.
