I am happy to present a Portmeirion Birds Of Britain 13 inch low pasta bowl featuring the Little Egret or Egretta Garzetta bird in the center with a ring of pink and blue accent birds around the inner edge.

This is a hard to find bowl showing little or no signs of use and does not have any crazing as is so common on the older pieces. Please be sure to look below and see the photos and full description...


The Birds Of Britain pattern illustrations were taken from the 'Natural History Of British Birds' by Edward Donovan which was printed in 1794. This Portmeirion range was, unfortunately, discontinued a few years ago.

The inside band is of the little pink and blue accent bird.

The bird featured in the center is the Little Egret, a Birds Of Britain salad plate motif.

Size	13" across the top, a little over 3" high and about 7" across the bottom foot
Transfer	Nice and bright, very colorful and flawless.
Ground	Very white
Glaze	Exceptionally nice flawless glaze everywhere! There is no crazing at all, very unusual on Birds Of Britain items this age.
Chips/Cracks	None
Stains	None, except for a VERY slight bit of shelf wear on the bottom unglazed ring where it sits.
Use Marks	There are no scratches, marks, or other signs of use that I could see. It must have been well taken care of.
Other Comments	An excellent Little Egret Birds Of Britain bowl in great condition!

It is fully marked on the bottom with a light blue Donovan 1794 backstamp.
