BOTANIC GARDEN ORANGE CACTUS SPICE JAR - ORIGINAL VERSION
Long Ago Retired Original Oatmeal Bowl Flower - Excellent With No Crazing!
|
I am pleased to offer a Botanic Garden Orange Cactus three inch high spice jar
with a wooden lid. This motif is one of the six original oatmeal bowl flowers
and is the original motif design. The Orange Cactus was retired along with three other unnamed motifs way back in 1976.
The canister is in excellent condition with NO crazing or signs of use, and excellent varnish on the lid!
Even the bottom is quite clean. Please be sure to look below and see the full description and more photos...
The Orange Cactus flower was one of the
four original oatmeal motifs, introduced in 1972 and retired early in 1978,
that did not have a Latin name assigned nor is the common name ever printed on
the item. There are
three other unnamed oatmeal motifs that were retired long ago in the 1978. The
design was inspired by an image in the 1840 botany book La Flore des
Dames by A. Jacquemart.

There is no wear on the original straight sided wooden lid as is so common on older BG canister

An original Orange Cactus spice jar in remarkably excellent condition!
