BOTANIC GARDEN DAISY SIFTER Or SHAKER
Large Size Sifter For Sugar Or Flower Or Lots Of Other Uses - Great Condition!
|
I am pleased to offer a Portmeirion Botanic Garden Sifter or Shaker in the
Daisy or Bellis Perennis motif. The sifter shape has
been retired for at least several years. The Daisy motif is current and still in production,
but quite unusual to see on sifters.
Sifters can be used for flour, cinnamon sugar, shaking water
and many other possible uses in your kitchen or bath. Please be sure to look below to
see lots more info about Portmeirion shakers.
This piece is in excellent condition with few, if any, signs of wear or use. Please be sure to look below for a full description and photos.

The Daisy was an original 1972 flower on bread and butter plates and still
remains in production today. It is based on an image found in the 1835 botany
book with illustrations by William Clarke,Moral of Flowers, and
written by Mrs. Hey.
All Botanic Garden sifters have a very large yellow butterfly on the back.

This item does not come with a box, but from my files, the side of the box says:
AT TABLE

parmesan onto soups or pastas. For sprinkling cinnamon onto toast or buns.
IN THE KITCHEN
for spinkling salt into soups & stews to season, or over joints or poultry
before roasting to give a crisp finish. Use for dredging flour when making
bread pastry etc. Can be used to sift flour or corn flour into soups &
stews for thickening. Ideal for sifting icing sugar or confectioners
sugar over cakes, or as a special finish do this through a paper cut-out or
doily to make a delicate pattern, this looks marvelous on a chocolate or
coffee icing.
