I am pleased to offer a hard to find set of four romantic shape cups and saucers. The cups holds 8 ounces to the brim, but 6 ounces would probably be a comfortable capacity. The four fruit motifs in the set are:

Wilmots Early Red Gooseberry --- Biggerraux Cherry
Hoary Morning Apple --- Grimwoods Royal George Peach

Two of the fruits have been retired from the Pomona range, including both the Wilmots Gooseberry, which is very rare and hard to find. Both cups and saucers are in excellent condition with perhaps some very minor wear in the saucer well where the cup sits. Please be sure to see below for more photos and a complete description.


The fruit motif is found on the front and back of the cup.

The first two sets consist of the rare Wilmot's Early Red which was retired early and very hard to find today. The next set is the retired Biggerraux Cherry.

Size	Cup is about 2-7/8" across (without the handle), 1-1/2" across the bottom foot, and about 2-1/4" high The saucer is 5-1/2" across at the widest Liquid Capacity - 8 ounces to the brim This size is the smaller of the two sizes made in the romantic cup shape
Transfer	All are perfect and bright
Ground	Very white
Glaze	No crazing, very shiny glaze, and no other glaze flaws seen
Chips/Cracks	None
Stains	None except a VERY slight amount of shelf ware on the bottom unglazed ring on the foot where it sits on a surface. The photo above shows it more pronounced that it is in person.
Use Marks	None on the cups. A few of the saucers might have a slight bit of wear. I have mostly new and shiny looking saucers, but will run out of those as we sell the sets.
Other Comments	A wonderful and rare set of Pomona romantic shape cups and saucers!

The ID mark on the retired fruits is the original brownish colored round Goddess of Fruit Pomona stamp. The Grimwoods Peach and Hoary Apple might have a pink or orange color backstamp. The image below is from one cup only.
