BOTANIC GARDEN RECTANGULAR FOUR-SQUARE SPEEDWELL VASE
Very Rare And Retired Shape!

I am happy to offer a very rare over 5 inch high Botanic Garden vase in the Four Square shape and Speedwell motif. The Four Square shape was discontinued many years ago and is rarely found today.

The Speedwell flower is an original 1972 coffee cup motif and remains in production today. It was based on an illustration by William Clarke in Mrs. Hey's botany book,Moral of Flowers.

Condition Button
Size About 5-1/4" high with a 1-7/8" opening across the top. It is 1-3/8" wide below the flared top and 1-3/8" across the bottom.
Transfer Nice crisp overglaze transfer repeated on all four sides. Vibrant and colorful with no fading or other flaws found.
Ground Very white
Glaze No crazing or other glaze flaw seen
Chips/Cracks None
Stains None, very clean inside and out. Even the unglazed bottom foot is very clean.
Use Marks None
Other Comments A great example of the Botanic Garden four square shaped vase!

The bottom is marked with a small version of the Crest ID mark.
