BOTANIC GARDEN GARDEN IVY LEAVED CYCLAMEN DINNER PLATE
Unique Dinner Plate With B and B Motif - Mint Condition!
|
I am pleased to offer a unique one of a kind Botanic Garden dinner plate in the Ivy Leaved
Cyclamen or Cyclamen Repandum motif.
The Cyclamen is a bread and butter plate flower. This plate carries a green factory 2nds ID
mark because Cyclamen was never offered on a dinner size plate. It is a 'special decoration' offered for sale only in Portmeirion's factory store in the UK.
This plate is in super condition with no signs of use or wear.
The Ivy Leaved Cyclamen flower was an original oatmeal bowl motif, introduced in 1972,
moved to a B & B plate in 1985, and still remains in production today. There
are two different insect and flower versions. The oldest has four flower
heads and the newer has nine heads. It was based on an image in an 1840
book,La Flore des Dames by A. Jacquemart.
