I am pleased to offer a Portmeirion Compleat Angler 6 inch square wall tile. The fishes featured on the tile are two Sewen Welsh Sea Trout or Salmo Cambricus. With an application of a felt backing, this item would make an excellent trivet.

This tile is in mint and new condition.

I have many of these Compleat Angler tiles. A few have a small shallow scrape only ON THE BACKSIDE that will not affect application of the tile to a surface. If you plan to use the tile as a trivet, please let me know and will provide a tile with a flawless back.


Designed as an offering for the male market, fish designs were taken from the 1879 book The Compleat Angler - British Fishes by M. J. Lydon.

This dish DOES have the name of the fish on the transfer. Some Compleat Angler items do not carry the fish name.

Transfer	Perfect and bright with no flaws
Ground	Very white
Glaze	NO crazing, nice shiny glaze and no other flaw seen
Chips/Cracks	The tile face is mint without any flaw. A few of the Angler tiles have a small shallow scrape on a BACK corner that will not affect application of the tile to a surface. Please let me know if you plan to use the tile as a trivet and will provide a tile without a backside flaw.

Other Comments	A hard to find Sewen Welsh Sea Trout wall tile in great condition!

The back is off white, unglazed, and embossed with 'H & R Johnson Tile' and 'Made In England'. There are also a few other marks that look like cutting guides.
