I am pleased to offer a Portmeirion Botanic Garden 1997 Christmas plate that
carries the recently retired Blue Passion Flower or Passiflora Caerulea flower. The plate is in mint
condition and is a 8 inch salad plate size.
Christmas plates were produced
during the 1990's and discontinued at some
point. I am not sure which year was the first or last.
A nice plate for serving Holiday chocolates!
(Please excuse any white areas in the left side Holly border that are only glare from photo lighting.
The laurel is complete and perfect in person.)
The Passion Flower was an original 1972 dinner plate motif and retired
recently in 2003. The long lived design was based on a William Clarke
illustration in the 1835 antique botany book Moral of Flowers
by Mrs. Hey.
