BOTANIC GARDEN OLDER STYLE EGG CUP - RHODODENDRON
Retired Egg Cup Shape - Also Used As A Candle Holder - Nice Butterfly!
|
I am happy to offer a retired egg cup in the Rhododendron or
Rhododendron Lepidotum motif. These egg cups are also sometimes used as candle
holders. It is marked on the bottom with a small version of the 2nd Trophy ID
backstamp made to fit into smaller areas.
This type of egg cup was retired years ago and replaced with the
'egg-shaped' taller pedestal. The newer pedestal shape also has since been
retired.
This egg cup is in excellent condition with no crazing, signs of use or flaws.
Please see the photos and description below...
Please note the relatively large and colorful purple butterfly!
The Rhododendron flower was an original 1973 coffee cup motif and later
included on a bread and butter plates in 1988. It remains in a current motif and is in
production today. It was based on an image in an 1840 book,Moral of
Flowers by Mrs. Hey, illustrated by William Clarke, 1835 by A. Jacquemart.
