BIRDS OF BRITAIN GREEN BAND EGG CUP - COLORFUL BLUE AND PINK BIRD
Attractive And Interesting Green Band Flat Egg Cup!
|
I am happy to offer an older Birds Of Britain egg cup with several pink and blue colored birds,
maybe a Robin, sitting on a branch laden with berries. Some people also use these as candle holders. This egg
cup has an older green band round the top indicating that it is vintage
piece. This flat shape has been retired for many years.
The egg cup is in excellent condition with no signs of use or wear but does have a
few very hard to see and far apart lines of very clean crazing on the outside only. Very minor. Please be sure to see the full description below.
The Birds Of Britain pattern
illustrations were taken from the 'Natural History Of British Birds' by
Edward Donovan which was printed in 1794.

Glaze |
Very shiny glaze with no crazing on the inside of the cup. On the outside, there are a some
lines of very clean crazing but are spaced far apart and are very head to see. Otherwise, I only
see one pin head sized factory glaze pop on the outside which are quite common on older Portmeirion.
