Very Hard To Find Retired Gooseberry Fruit - Wonderful Condition!

I am happy to offer a rare Pomona Queen Of Sheba Gooseberry 5 inch high (5.5 inches with the lid) canister. It is in
great condition with NO crazing and a lid that is also in very nice
condition. Retired many years ago, the Queen Of Sheba is now hard to find.

The two Gooseberry motifs, including Queen Of Sheba, were among the first
fruits retired many years ago. It was used as an accent motif on larger pieces until recently.

None, except for a very, very small amount of shelf wear on the unglazed bottom foot where it sit on a surface

None, but probably has been used. It must have been well taken care of.

Other Comments |
The lid condition is excellent with no dry and cracked varnish spots as is so common
on older Portmeirion wooden lids. For an older lid with straight sides, it is
one of the better I have seen.
The rubber gasket still holds a great seal!
A rare Queen Of Sheba canister that is hard to find in such nice condition!

The ID mark is a brown Pomona Goddess Of Fruit backstamp. Brown ID
marks were used prior to 1985 when the color changed to salmon.
