BOTANIC GARDEN LARGE 17" X 11" DOUBLE MEXICAN LILY TABLE MAT
Retired Item With Rare Version Of Mexican Lily - Mint And Shiny Condition!
|
I am happy to present an very nice Botanic Garden large tablemat featuring the
Mexican Lily or Amaryllis Reginae motif. This solid (pressboard, I
think, with a plastic or melamine surface) variety of tablemat has not been produced for
at least several years.
Usually seen on 15" platters, this table mat carries this not often seen
version of the flower. Note that the left and right flower are different from each other.
The overall background color is very white. It looks a little dark on the
right side because it was hard to get even lighting on it for the pictures.
The Mexican Lily flower was an
original dinner plate motif, introduced in 1972 and retired in 1994. It was
inspired by image in a 1824 book,The Universal Herbal by Thomas
Green.
