BOTANIC GARDEN 'PINK' SCARLET PIMPERNEL DRUM CUP AND SAUCER SET
Pristine Condition - Most Recent Colorway Of The Pimpernel Flower!
|
I am happy to offer a perfect Botanic Garden 'Pink' version of the Scarlet Pimpernel or
Angallis Arvensis drum shape cup and saucer. The set is in perfect condition!
The two toned pink pimpernel flower color is the most recent colorway. The
original color was a bright orange and replaced for a short time by the rare burgundy color.
The Pimpernel flower is an original 1972 coffee cup motif and remains in
production today. However, it has gone through several color changes.
First, it was orange and changed to dark burgundy early in 1993. Then,
later in 1993 it was changed to the current color of light and dark pink.
It was based on an illustration by William Clarke in Mrs. Hey's botany
book,Moral of Flowers.

On the saucer, the green color in the laurel can vary a little. If you buy more than one set, I will
to my best to insure the green laurel matches on all saucers.
(Any white areas in the green Laurel border are only glare from photo lighting.
The laurel is complete and perfect.)
