BOTANIC GARDEN ROSES PATTERN 7 INCH SALAD BOWL
Unique Bowl In The Botanic Roses Sub-Pattern - Two Glaze Flaws
|
I am happy to present a very different Botanic Garden Roses pattern 7 inch bowl
featuring the Warm Wishes rose on the inside and two each of the Scarbourgh Fair and Teasing Georgia on the outside.
There is a dark forest green oval 2nds ID mark on the bottom. This ID mark
is often used if the item was not offered in the
Botanic Garden catalog because it was a sample or trial item. It does not mean there is a quality issue.
However, this bowl has a dark speck of sand in the white area to the
right of the rose and an uneven spot of pottery on the bottom foot. Otherwise, the bowl is in excellent condition and
shows no wear or signs of use. Please be sure to look below and see the full
description that will fully describe any flaws found...
The Scarbourough Fair and Teasing Georgia are each repeated twice around the outside.

6-3/4" across the top, 3" high, 2-7/8" across the bottom foot

Transfer |
Excellent, no fading, and colorful with no flaws

Ground |
Very white

Glaze |
Overall nice shiny glaze with no crazing. There is a little speck of
dark sand in the glaze to the right of the flower.
Also, the bottom
unglazed ring where it sits has an insignificant small spot where the
pottery is uneven. Quite common on many bowls.

The bowl is marked with a forest green 2nds ID mark. This ID is commonly used
on sample and one of a kind items not offered in the BG catalog. However, did see a few minor glaze flaws that are described above.
