PORTMEIRION POMONA WAISTED SPICE JAR - RETIRED RED CURRANT FRUIT
Portmeirion Collectors Club Item From The Early 1990s - Rarely Seen In Pomona!
|
I am happy to offer a rare Pomona waisted spice jar with the retired Red
Currant fruit on the front and Pomona Apple Blossom on the back. As I understand
it, this jar shape was only offered to Collector Club members and was made in
limited numbers. It is most commonly seen in the Botanic Garden range and very rarely in Pomona.
Its shape is a miniature of the Utensil jar and was made in 1995. This jar is in super condition
with a perfect lid, was never used, and is new with the UPC still attached to the bottom.

The gasket holds a great seal and there are no cracks or rubbing on the varnish!
A very rarely seen excellent Pomona waisted spice jar in the discontinued and popular Red Currant motif!

The ID mark is a full round 'Goddess Of Fruit' pale orange color used from
after 1985 until about 1999. The bottom of the actual spice jar is pretty
well covered by the UPC code so this ID photo has been borrowed from another Pomona item.
