BOTANIC GARDEN COMMON TOMENTIL SMALL PUNCH BOWL CUP
Made Years Ago As Part Of A Punch Set - Quite Unusual!
|
I am pleased to offer a retired Common Tormentil or Potentilla Erecta punch
bowl cup. A series
of small cups were made in the 1970's as part of a punch set. The Common
Tormentil motif has been retired since 1985. These little cups have
been discontinued for many years and are now very rare.
This cup is in perfect condition and, with a Crest ID mark, was one of the last ones produced.
---> Right And Left Side <---
The Tormentil motif was an original coffee cup motif, introduced in 1972 and
retired in 1985. It was still used on ramekins and egg cups until 1999 when
it was retired on all shapes. The design was inspired by image in a 1824 book,
The Universal Herbal by Thomas Green.
---> Front And Back <---
Any dark areas inside the cup are due to shadows from photo lighting. The
white background is nice and white both inside and our.
