PORTMEIRION VINTAGE MEDIUM 6 INCH CHEMIST PRINT CHAMBER POT
Six Designs In Black And White - Excellent Condition, Rare!

I am happy to present a rare black and white 6 inch wide (not including the handle)
Chemist Prints potty produced by
Portmeirion during the 1960's. It is in wonderful condition with three or
four hard to see lines of crazing and no damage. Usually, crazing is just
about always seen vintage Portmeirion.

The Chemist Print designs were taken from old engravings of 1800's medicine titles.
Soon after Susan Williams-Ellis bought Kirkham Pottery around 1960, she produced a new
pattern called Medicine Prints based on old copper engravings found in
Kirkham's attic. Shortly after, Medicine Prints turned into
Chemist Prints and was sold throughout the 1960's. Chemist Prints are found
on many different shapes and transfers are found in both color and black
and white.

| Transfer |
All six transfers are excellent with no loss of paint or fading. The inside transfer is a little out of round, that that is common and minor.

Very white

| Glaze |
Very shiny glaze overall. There is a little factory bump in the glaze in the Turn Very Slowly transfer.
There are two lines of crazing on the inside rim and another two or three on the
outside. The crazing is very clean and could not see it until looking under a bright photo light.

None, except for a slight bit of shelf wear on the unglazed bottom ring where it sits. Please see the photo below.

It is very clean on both the inside and outside with no scratches or stains
