I am pleased to offer an unusual 6.5 inch high Portmeirion Countryside pattern romantic shape vase. This medium sized vase, larger than most Portmeirion romantic shape vases, has an off white background rather than the more commonly seen pink.

This item is in great condition with the exception of a chip on the bottom foot. It is mostly on the underside of the foot but a small portion can be seen when looking from the side. Please be sure to see the full description and photos below.

The Dog Rose transfer is quite large, wrapping around much of the right side.

The Countryside pattern was produced in the 1980's and, I think, discontinued around 1983 or 1985. It was a Portmeirion 'open stock' pattern and likely purchased for use on other manufacturer's ceramics or pottery pieces. On Portmeirion, it is mostly found on bathroom pieces, however, have rarely seen entire dinner sets.

Size	Almost 6-1/2" high, 2-7/8" across the bottom, and a 2-1/2" opening on top
Transfers	Two large transfers wrap around the vase. Both are excellent with no missing paint, scratches, or flaws.
Glaze	NO crazing and nice shiny glaze
Ground	Off white with maybe a touch of pink
Chips/Cracks	There is a chip on the bottom foot. A small part of it can be seen from the front. Otherwise, there are no chips or cracks. Also see the photo at the bottom of this page.
Stains	None, except for some shelf wear on the bottom unglazed foot where it sits on a surface.
Use Marks	None
Other Comments	An attractive Portmeirion Countryside vase.

The ID mark a mustard color oval 2nds backstamp. I do not see many Countryside items, however, have never seen any backstamp other than the mustard 2nds ID.
