BOTANIC GARDEN CHRISTMAS ROSE PEDESTAL CAKE PLATE
Retired Shape And Motif - Makes A Nice Presentation!
|
I am pleased to offer a perfect and rare Botanic Garden pedestal cake plate in
the Christmas Rose or Helleborus Niger motif. The Christmas Rose flower was
retired recently and the pedestal cake plate was retired
several years ago. Botanic Garden pedestal dishes are now difficult to
find.
It is in super condition with no signs of use or wear. The transfer is a lovely 'overglaze' transfer which renders it nice and crisp.
The Christmas Rose flower was
introduced in 1984 and retired recently in 2004. The lovely
design was based on an image in an antique botany book Medical Botany,
Volume I by John Stevenson and James Mors Churchill.
