I am happy to present an unusual Botanic Garden quilted double oven glove in the Dog Rose or Rosa Canina flower. The Dog Rose is still a current salad flower motif, however, the double oven glove has been retired for many years.

It is made for Portmeirion in the UK while newer textiles are made in China. The item is still well sealed in its protective package.



It is made of thick quilted material in 100% cotton with polyester filling. The size is about 30" long and about 7.25" wide.

The package instructions say it can be cleaned in the washing machine and ironed at low temps. Dry cleaning is NOT recommended.

The Dog Rose motif, famous for its huge bee, was an original 1972 flower on salad plates and still remains in production today. It is based on an image found in a 1835 botany book with illustrations by William Clarke,Moral of Flowers, and written by Mrs. Hey.
