I am happy to present a new wooden lid Sugar canister in the Splat Cat design from the Rob Scotton Portmeirion Studio collection.

This item was made in China. It seems to me to be as nice as Portmeirion canisters made in England although the lid seems to be a different type of wood than the older canisters made in the UK.

The Splat Cat collection was discontinued in early 2007. The canister is in mint condition with a perfect seal and no wear at all.

Hiding inside each canister there is ONE of the three small mice seen below. I did not open the canister to see which one belongs with the Sugar canister.

Size	About 7" high, including the lid, and a little over 4" across the bottom
Transfer	Splat Cat is found once on the front and a mouse on the inside. All are perfect, crisp, and bright with no flaws seen.
Ground	Very white
Glaze	Nice shiny glaze with no crazing or any other glaze flaw seen
Chips/Cracks	None
Stains	None
Use Marks	None, it is new
Other Comments	The lid is light blonde in color, in super condition with nice smooth varnish, and holds a great seal. The lid seems to be a different type of material (possibly bamboo?) than older canisters made in England. A cute, mint and new Splat Cat Sugar canister!

The bottom is marked with a modern Portmeirion Logo backstamp and a peel off sticker that says Made In China.
