BOTANIC GARDEN VARIATIONS FLOWERED CHRYSANTHEMUM DINNER PLATE
Beautiful And Retired Flower - Mint With Tag - Discontinued BG Pattern!
|
I am happy to present a nice Botanic Garden Dinner plate featuring the
Flowered Chrysanthemum or Chrysanthemum Coccineum motif. The Variations pattern,
created to compliment Botanic Garden, was retired several years ago.
The Chrysanthemum
was introduced in 1994 as a dinner plate motif and was retired a few years
ago in 2002. It was taken from a very old 1792 botanical illustration,
The Botanical Magazine, Volume VI by William Curtis.

Botanic Garden Variations pattern was introduced in 1990 and discontinued
in 2000. All pieces feature a ring of Rhododendron and Forget-Me-Not
and have a smaller version of the center BG motif. The backstamp is very
complex as can be seen in the bottom photo.
