BOTANIC GARDEN CROCUS And SNOWDROP SIFTER Or SHAKER
Discontinued Sifter And Retired Flower - Great Condition!
|
I am pleased to offer a Portmeirion Botanic Garden Sifter or Shaker in the light version of the
Crocus and Snowdrop or Crocus and Galanthus motif. The sifter shape has
been retired for at least several years. The Snowdrop and Crocus motif has been retired since 2000.
Sifters can be used for flour, cinnamon sugar, shaking water
and many other possible uses in your kitchen or bath.

The Crocus and Snowdrop
was a bread and butter plate motif, introduced in 1980 and
retired in 2000. There are two color versions of this motif where the
biggest difference is in the pink butterfly wing. The lower wing is grey in
the 'Dark' version and white in the 'Light Version' Also, the darker has
more pronounced and deeper accents at the edges of the flowers and leaves.
It was inspired by image in a 1830 botany book,Romance
of Flowers. by Louisa Twomley.
This sifter is the light version.
All Botanic Garden sifters have a very large butterfly or moth on the back. This has
a colorful redish and black butterfly.
