PORTMEIRION LONDON PRINT PIN DISH
Gold Image On Black Circa 1960s By Susan Williams-Ellis!
|
I am happy to offer a super Portmeirion London Print pin dish produced in
about 1960 by Susan Williams-Ellis. London prints depicts various landmarks
and famous sites in London.
I do not know which famous building this item represents, but is a very
impressive little piece. The process to produce the gold gilded transfer was
similar to that used by Susan Williams-Ellis on Moss Agate items.
Any white areas on the photo above are from lighting glare. The gold and
black is very uniform on the face of the piece.
The back of the dish is black with a dark green-blue ID mark. The mark was
too dark to photograph, but is oval and says:
PORTMEIRION
POTTERY
Stoke-on-Trent
Made In England

4-3/8" across and about 3/4" high

Very nice. No missing gold or any part of the transfer.
