BOTANIC GARDEN SHELL DISH - IVY LEAVED CYCLAMEN
Retired Shape - Original Four Head Version Of Oatmeal Flower - Minty!
|
I am pleased to offer a retired Botanic Garden shell dish featuring the Ivy
Leaved Cyclamen or Cyclamen Repandum flower. This motif
is still currently produced but no longer in the older version with four flower heads.
Newer version have five or nine buds.
This older dish is hard to find in such nice minty condition! Please see the full description and photos below...
The Ivy Leaved Cyclamen flower was an original oatmeal bowl motif, introduced in 1972,
moved to a B & B plate in 1985, and still remains in production today. There
are two different insect and flower versions. The oldest has four flower
heads and the newer has nine heads. It was based on an image in an 1840
book,La Flore des Dames by A. Jacquemart.
