I am pleased to offer a vintage Portmeirion Monte Sol 10 inch plate. It is in wonderful condition with only some typical very clean and fine crazing. Very hard to see especially on the front. Please see all the photos and full description below.


Reminiscent of the Psychedelic days of the late 1960's and early 1970's, this vintage Portmeirion pattern was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis when she was visiting the Balearic Islands off of Spain.

The ground is white with a Moorish green and blue design. Moors are a medieval Muslim culture and some live today in present day Spain and Portugal.

The Monte Sol design was discontinued long, long ago in the 1970's and is no longer available.

Size	A touch over 10" across
Paint	Could not be better with no scratches or missing paint. Nice bright colors.
Ground	Very white
Glaze	Overall crazing is present, but especially on the front, is very fine, hard to see and present only in spots. On the design, it is very hard to see. Crazing is typical on vintage older Portmeirion.
Chips/Cracks	None
Stains	On the back, there are a few tiny spots that are darker.
Use Marks	None. There are no scratches (not even little stacking marks) or signs of use. However, it likely has been used.
Other Comments	A very pretty and rare Monte Sol 10 inch plate in great condition!

It is fully marked on the bottom with an oval turquoise colored Monte Sol backstamp.
