PORTMEIRION KEW MAGNOLIA 8.5 INCH SALAD PLATE
A Pretty Retired Hand Painted Pattern Plate - Minor Wear!
|
I am pleased to offer a Portmeirion Kew Magnolia pattern 8.5 inch salad plate.
Kew Magnolia was retired years ago and new items are now hard to find. The
Kew Magnolia basic plate shape is a little different than other Portmeirion
plates. It has a narrow rim and the edge slopes down to the flat part of the
dish.
It is in nice condition with no crazing but shows some minor usage. Please see the
complete description and photos below...
Magnolia was a part of Portmeirion's Studio line and designed by Susan
Williams-Ellis' daughter, Angharad Menna. Introduced in 1996 for the Royal
Botanical Gardens in Kew, it was discontinued within two years of inception.
I have three of these plates available. There is some variation in colors
because they are hand painted. One plate has notably darker pink than the other two.
